Studio Farrows in Somerset

One of the most popular Bed and Breakfasts in the United Kingdom is Studio Farrows, which can be found in Langford, county Somerset.

This Bed and Breakfast’s most quirky feature is a rusting pale blue Ford Anglia estate that sits in the middle of the lounge room. The lounge is made up of a hotchpotch of pieces of furniture, which is complemented by different coloured throws, rugs, and blankets that makes for the perfect setting for a couple of bottles of wine and games and conversation.

The owners are artists and art collectors and this shines through the decor, which features some great pieces of art by local and international artists. Studio Farrows can cater to six people comfortably, but can also sleep eight in a more intimate family setting. Breakfast in the morning consists of a feast including cheeses, cured meats, toast, bread and cereal, but you are also welcome to make your own and the owners provide a fridge so you can store everything without anything spoiling.

The B&B also has access to a heated outdoor pool which you can pay to use. It is not in the same complex, but is just a short walk away. The hosts are local and are happy to organise activities for you which range from glass blowing, nature walks, historical sight seeings, and pub crawling.

It was recently voted as one of the best Bed & Breakfast accommodations in the United Kingdom in a poll organised by a leading UK newspaper. The B&B is in the outer reaches of Langford and it is approximately two and three-quarter of an hours’ drive from London. While it is nestled in the countryside, it is close to Glastonbury and Yeovil, both of which have high streets, shopping centres, pubs and bars. Having said that, the gorgeous garden and veranda on the premises will probably be the more attractive option.
